Warranty

What is warranted, by whom, and for how long

We provide a 5 years installation and workmanship warranty, and pass through the full manufacturer warranty on every product we supply. All of it sits on top of your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.

How warranties work in practice

Start with us

You do not have to chase a manufacturer. Where you have rights against us as the retailer under the Australian Consumer Law, you can exercise them with us directly. We will diagnose the fault, deal with the manufacturer where a product claim is needed, and carry out the remedy.

What we do on a workmanship claim

Within a reasonable period we will inspect the equipment or works, repair or rectify defective workmanship, replace affected equipment where reasonably required, and re-perform the relevant works where reasonably necessary.

Australian manufacturer and importer contacts

For every major product we supply, your quote or warranty schedule includes the Australian manufacturer, importer, authorised representative or distributor — name, address, phone, email and website — so you can pursue a manufacturer warranty or consumer guarantee even if you cannot reach us. Providing those details does not reduce or transfer our obligations to you.

Documentation you receive

Before installation we provide or make available the manufacturer warranty documentation for all major equipment: panel product and performance warranties, inverter warranty, battery warranty including capacity, cycle or throughput terms, and warranties for other significant equipment.

Make a warranty claim

Call 1300 404 510 or email admin@sunquestsolar.net. Have your address, install date and — if you can — a photo of the fault, the inverter screen or the monitoring app error. We acknowledge claims as soon as reasonably practicable and keep you updated in writing.

Exclusions. To the extent permitted by law, a contractual or manufacturer warranty may not cover a defect caused by wilful damage, misuse, abuse or negligence, operation outside the manufacturer's specifications, unauthorised repairs or modifications, incompatible third-party equipment, failure to operate or maintain the equipment per manufacturer instructions, abnormal operating conditions, events outside our reasonable control, or another exclusion in the manufacturer's own warranty. Nothing in these exclusions limits any consumer guarantee or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Australian Consumer Law notice. Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with services you may cancel the service contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion, or compensation for its reduced value. For major failures with goods you may be entitled to a refund or replacement. Where a failure is not major, you are entitled to have it remedied within a reasonable time. You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.
