Commercial & industrial

Commercial solar built around your load profile

Warehouses, manufacturing, cold storage, clubs, childcare and retail. We start with your interval data and demand charges, then design to shave the costs that actually appear on your bill.

Our commercial process

Data-led feasibility

We analyse 12 months of interval data, demand charges, tariff structure and site constraints before sizing anything.

Structural & electrical review

Roof condition and structural capacity assessment, switchboard and main-switch capacity, three-phase and CT metering checks.

Network approvals

Connection applications, export limitation and protection settings coordinated with Ausgrid, Endeavour, Essential, Evoenergy or the Victorian distributors.

Certificate pathway

Systems up to 100kW can create STCs; larger systems generate LGCs. We explain which applies and how it is treated in your price.

Delivery & safety

Site-specific SWMS, height-safety controls, staged works to keep you trading, and full commissioning documentation.

Ongoing performance

Monitoring, alerting, scheduled inspections and reporting so underperformance is caught early, not at end of financial year.

Commercial systems we design and install

From a single warehouse rooftop through to multi-site portfolios and ground-mounted arrays, delivered as one package: design, engineering, electrical works, commissioning and monitoring. Products are subject to availability from suppliers — specific makes, models and lead times are confirmed in your written quote.

Commercial rooftop solar

Tilt-frame and flush-mount arrays on metal deck, klip-lok, membrane and tiled roofs. Staged crane lifts and after-hours switchboard shutdowns where trading hours can't be interrupted.

Ground-mount arrays

Fixed-tilt and single-axis tracking ground mounts for sites with spare land, including civil works, screw or driven-pile footings, fencing and cable trenching.

Solar carports

Steel carport structures that shade staff, fleet or customer parking while generating on site — engineered for wind region and paired with EV charging where required.

Commercial battery storage

Peak-demand shaving, load shifting and backup using containerised or cabinet BESS. Sized from your interval data, with switchroom or loading-dock siting, bollards and security.

LED lighting upgrades

High-bay, office and carpark LED retrofits with controls and sensors — often the fastest payback on site and able to be bundled with the solar works in one shutdown.

Commercial heat pumps

Hot-water heat pump replacement for kitchens, aged care, gyms and accommodation, cutting gas or electric-element load and pairing well with daytime solar.

Fleet & workplace EV charging

AC and DC charging for fleet depots and staff carparks, with load management so charging fits inside your existing supply capacity.

Multi-site & multi-NMI rollouts

Portfolio programs across several sites or NMIs with consistent equipment, one point of contact, and consolidated reporting for each location.

Monitoring & integration

Live monitoring, alerting and — where you have it — integration into your existing building management or SCADA platform.

Typical scale and sectors

We scope commercial work from around 30kW up to multi-megawatt rooftop and ground-mount projects, and battery systems sized to the site rather than a catalogue.

30kW – 100kW

Childcare, clubs, medical suites, small manufacturing and retail. Eligible to create STCs, so the certificate discount applies to the installed price.

100kW – 1MW

Warehousing, cold storage, food processing, aged care and schools. LGC pathway, network approval and export limitation handled as part of the project.

1MW+ and ground mount

Large rooftop, multi-NMI and ground-mounted projects delivered as an EPC package with structural, civil and electrical engineering.

About the ranges above. These describe the scope of work we quote, not a claim about any particular completed project. Final system size, certificate eligibility and export limits depend on your roof or land, switchboard capacity and your network distributor's approval. All installations are completed by SAA-accredited installers and licensed electrical workers.

Power purchase agreements (commercial sites only)

For business and commercial sites, a power purchase agreement (PPA) can be an alternative to buying the system. Under a PPA the equipment is owned by a third-party supplier, and your business pays for the electricity the system generates at an agreed rate for the agreed term. PPAs are offered for commercial sites only and are not available for residential customers.

At the end of the PPA term the choice is yours. You may purchase the system at its fair market value at that time, extend the agreement on agreed terms, or leave the equipment with the supplier, who may remove it. Removal and make-good arrangements are set out in the PPA before you sign.

Not credit and not financial advice. A PPA is an agreement to buy electricity, not a loan or deferred payment arrangement with us. Third-party finance options are available. Sunquest Energy Pty Ltd does not provide consumer credit or deferred payment arrangements and is not the credit provider. Finance is voluntary and subject to the relevant finance provider's eligibility requirements, credit assessment, approval, fees and terms and conditions. We do not provide financial, tax or legal advice — please review any PPA with your own advisers.

Financial modelling you can audit

We present business cases with the inputs exposed: consumption profile, assumed tariff and demand charges, degradation, O&M allowance, certificate revenue and any export limitation. If a number moves your payback, you will be able to see it and test it.

Not financial or tax advice. Payback, IRR and depreciation commentary are indicative only and depend on your circumstances, energy contract and applicable tax treatment. Please confirm the tax position with your accountant. Business purchases over the Australian Consumer Law thresholds may have different statutory rights than consumer purchases — we set out the applicable warranty and guarantee terms in your contract.
